Job Summary -

  • The Manufacturing Engineer plans sequences of operations, estimates the time required and writes process sheets and bill of materials.

  • Determines from part drawing and other engineering data manufacturing methods and processes necessary for the fabrication and assembly of complex products.

  • Investigates, establishes, and implements requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including make or buy decisions and facility layout as required for new or revised products.

  • Investigates and troubleshoots manufacturing problems.

  • Provides technical support to operations.

  • Consults with design or projects engineering concerning the suitability or producibility of complex molds, fixtures, or parts.

  • Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

  • Provides technical leadership and helps train lower level staff to diagnose and solve problems and build capabilities.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications -

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering OR Advanced degree 3+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering.

  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office or similar and CAD software

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Able to interpret manufacturing drawings and 3D models.

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE, 6S, etc.).

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering OR Advanced degree 3+ years experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
