The Test Engineering Center of Excellence is seeking to fill a Sr Electrical Engineering position with a talented individual. The primary responsibility for this position is to be the focal point for factory support activities (Expert on Call). The engineer who fills this position must have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. This position will heavily utilize software and hardware development and debug skills on multi-rack test stations. These test stations include but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, logic analyzers, power supplies and electronic loads. This position requires methodical engineering practices with excellent data gathering and analysis knowledge to solve problems. Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, test assemblies and subsystems
Be able toutilize internal processes, methods and tools for hardware and software development and documentation efforts
Lead test hardware and software design reviews and develop appropriate design documentation
Design and troubleshoot complex test hardware including fixtures, cabling, and circuit cards
Coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
Identifying, categorizing, and averting project risks (risk management)
Experience with bidding project activities
Prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers
Highly motivated and possess effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills
This position requires a STEM Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.
Candidate should have the following experience -
Factory support experience
Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
Excellent time management skills - ability to work independently and be able to multitask
Software skills in LabView, Test Stand, C#, VB
