Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering in Middletown, CT is seeking an aggressive and goal oriented, detail focused project engineer to work for the F135 Fan Group. You will be responsible for task execution on the Fan Case and intermediate case. This position requires leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and project management experience.

Your specific responsibilities include:

  • You coordinate with the Integrated Product Team to meet technical requirements and hardware deliveries.

  • You plan and handle budget for all hardware and tasks and delivery of those tasks to plan.

  • You prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT.

  • You perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

  • You lead cost reduction and sustainment initiatives.

  • You process Class 1 and Class 2 engineering changes as needed.

  • You coordinate and oversee evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering and 6+ years related experience OR

  • MS degree in Engineering and 4+ years related experience

  • US citizenship is required due to government program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and Jet engines in particular is helpful and highly desirable.

  • Previous Project Management experience

  • Previous Military programs experience a plus

Education:

  • BS degree in Engineering and 6+ years related experience OR

  • MS degree in Engineering and 4+ years related experience
