Job Description

This position is for the validation manager for the F135 fan module. As validation manager you will be responsible for overseeing all engines and rig testing required validating design changes that support cost, durability, and producibility. It will be your responsibility to coordinate between the CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team), SEV (System Engineering Validation), and JPO (Joint Program Office) to ensure all validation criteria are met to satisfy customer requirements.

Your Daily responsibilities will include:

  1. Provide primary CIPT external interface with SEV, SIPT (Systems Integrated Product Team), and Product & Rig validation (Test) groups. Includes supporting multiple cross functional teams.

  2. Responsible for coordinating the CIPT’s EVP/RVP (Engine Validation Planning and Rig Validation Planning) test plans and required hardware to support, and Flight Clearance Review Matrices with SEV Validation Groups.

  3. Responsible for coordinating Certification Compliance Test plans, compliance hardware, and Flight Clearance Matrices with Integrity and Validation/Compliance Groups.

  4. Responsible for coordinating, implementing and tracking progress against these plans including assuring analyses, rig tests, engine tests and all other validation activities are completed on schedule.

  5. Responsible for managing and tracking CIPT disciplines in building, maintaining and closing TJRs (Test Job Request.)

  6. Responsible for coordinating efforts and timing of CIPT disciplines & IPT’s in defining instrumentation and special test procedures/inspections/restrictions

Qualification:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering with 6+ years related experience OR

  • MA/MS degree in Engineering with 4 years related experience

  • US citizenship is required due to government program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and Jet engines in particular would be highly desirable.

  • Previous Project Management experience

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering with 6+ years related experience OR

  • MA/MS degree in Engineering with 4 years related experience
