Qualification:

Responsibilities:

Working with the Project Manager, the AEP Fan Rotors IPT (Integrated Product Team) Lead provides strong technical leadership for all aspects of the IPT, while working alongside the Program Management, IPT, and Project Engineering functions.

You will :

  • Act as technical focal with customers (internal and external) and suppliers/vendors, submitting technical data for approval per contractual requirements

  • Foster strong Customer relationships through accountability, transparency and credibility

  • Develop the overall IPT schedule and harmonize priorities and objectives with functional groups (Program Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Verify accuracy of all related Engineering tasks and associated completion dates.

  • Establish Engineering objectives with a strong commitment to meet expectations.

  • Communicate progress and roadblocks with the Integrated Product Team (IPT), CIPT Lead, and Engineering Management

  • Facilitate Engineering investigations into product failures and ownership of the root cause and corrective action process

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance for completing PE activities.

  • Collaborate to identify areas of process improvement, assisting in tasks related to overall group management

  • Review and approve engineering standard work for all IPTs within the Fan group CIPT

To be successful in this position, you should have the following:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • 8+ years of Aerospace industry experience, including Product Development experience

  • US Citizenship is required due to government program requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required for this position

Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA preferred

  • Current Secret Clearance

  • Extensive Project Management experience

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and externals customers

  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of Engineers.

  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to facilitate discussions in team environment

  • Strong ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, Parts List and Process Specifications and how it relates to overall product definition.

  • Deep understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, OneNote, SAP, Primavera, Team Center, etc.

  • Proficiency Level 3 or higher within any Pratt & Whitney project engineering discipline.
