If so, we want to hear from you. This is a rare opportunity for an individual to join the team as a Quality Training Coordinator in Middletown, CT. P&W Compression System Module Center (CSMC) is expanding its Quality Clinic to incorporate all aspects of supplier and shop quality improvement initiatives. As a member of the Clinic team, we are looking for a motivated, high energy Training Coordinator to lead CSMC salary training initiatives. CSMC manufactures Compressor and Turbine Rotors, Drums, Disks, Hubs and Fan Cases, for multiple commercial and military engine programs. CSMC is the Center of Excellence for the manufacturing and inspection of Integrated Blade Rotors (IBR) for the F119, F135 and Next Generation Product Family (NGPF)

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, establish and drive development and training initiatives required to position CSMC Quality as a world class learning organization.

  • Develop strategies for coordinating all activities and interactions between internal teams involving shop, supplier, supply chain, business units and Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Coordinate and conduct salary skill assessments for salary staff.

  • Lead the department in the drive to meet ACE Associate, ACE Practitioner, Green Belt and Black Belt training goals.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to employees for skill enhancement and career development.

  • Assist with the coordination for technical, leadership and other training requirements.

  • Assist with the development of standard work related to Quality functions and interactions with other teams.

  • Provide regular updates regarding training, proficiency and team development status.

  • Work closely with Core Quality Discipline Health personnel to implement Quality wide initiatives at CSMC.

  • Establish communications and coordination with all teams to ensure training and team interaction is effective in meeting CSMC goals.

  • Travel may be up to 20%.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5 years of experience in technical training and/or ACE implementation

  • 1+ year of experience with continuous improvement principles, i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC)

  • 1+ year of experience with team facilitation and development

  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office business applications

  • US Citizen due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in PW Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or Supply Chain.

  • Experience as part of a PW Quality Clinic team or other process enhancement team

  • Excellent communication, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel and management.
