Manufacturing Support Services is responsible for manufacturing and maintaining various forms of tooling for module centers and operations.

  • Assist the module centers with tooling input for the design of new tooling along with providing assistance with tooling troubleshooting and alteration.

  • Work with the MSS tool rooms and provide assistance by updating designs to match the physical tools that may be altered and creating designs as required for special tools or machine components.

  • Work with the module centers manufacturing engineers and associates to determine tooling improvements with regard to ergonomics and EH&S guidelines.

  • Assists the manufacturing engineers in establishing and maintaining non-perishable tooling inventories along with monitoring tool wear and suggest alternative materials.

  • Perform design functions including conceptual modeling, detail drafting and perform final design reviews with module center representatives and suppliers.

  • Create tooling notifications for new and altered tools along with suggesting the use of alternate materials for tooling i.e. additive manufacturing.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications -

  • Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in the tooling field OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in the tooling field OR, in lieu of degree, 11+ years of experience in the tooling field.

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Experience in the use of Unigraphics NX9 and Teamcenter

  • Ability to interpret Engineering drawings required

  • Ability to use SAP for tooling notification creation along with experience with Microsoft office applications

  • Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to interact with suppliers, shop floor personnel and management teams.

Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in the tooling field OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in the tooling field OR, in lieu of degree, 11+ years of experience in the tooling field.
