The Sr. Purchasing Analyst supports military component repair services for various P&W MRO business units. You will perform supply chain management for multiple P&W business units and external suppliers of component repairs in the Northeast United States.

The successful candidate will:

Coordinate closely with the supplier’s management and operations team to achieve high delivery and quality performance. You'll provide delivery assurance oversight at supplier locations including WIP status review, logistical support, and priority guidance. As a Sr Purchasing Analyst, you'll perform assessments of the supplier’s capability to perform and sustain performance. You'll also engage the supplier to diagnosis risks and work to develop a comprehensive gap plan. This role will follow-up with the PW and supplier team to validate the gap plan and monitor progress to ensure the benefits are being achieved. You'll be the person establishing leading indicators of performance and tracking weekly at each supplier. You'll also intervene to expedite deliveries and/or resolve delivery issues as required. Interfacing with ME Spares and LPM organizations to resolve repair detail shortages is critical.

Experience/Qualification :

You must have the ability to successfully interface with various internal departments, external suppliers, and business units at all company levels. You will have extensive contact and business relationship building with internal customers and suppliers. You will play a key role in the overall Supply Chain Management continuous improvement strategic goals.

You'll be responsible for aligning with UTC’s ―Code of Ethics, Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government, and related P&W policies & procedures. In executing his/her responsibilities, incumbent shall take all steps necessary to foster open communications and to support UTC’s compliance, business practices, DIALOG, and Ombudsman programs.

Frequent domestic travel required.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree w/5 + years’ applicable experience- Materials, Purchasing,

  • 5 + years Microsoft Office suite is required and ability to analyze and create complex reports and metrics from ERP data to support decision-making and interactions with suppliers

  • 5+ years Advanced PowerPoint and Excel, which includes V-Look-ups + Pivot tables

  • U.S. Citizenship Required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or related ERP system is preferred.

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes is desirable.

  • Knowledge of procurement in support of government contracts is desirable.

  • Strong Leadership skills and a proven track record of accomplishment in business performance.

  • Ability to work and communicate with multiple disciplines within the Military Engines organization.

  • Ability to initiate, lead and sustain change activities at the suppliers.

  • Highly adaptable person.
