UTC Aerospace Systems' Customer Service Organization is looking for a customer-oriented individual to assist a team of HR managers. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated young professional to experience many different areas of Human Resources as well as gain an understanding of the UTC business as a whole.

Responsibilities include:

  • An active participant in the Employee Engagement Committee, identifying opportunities to improve the employee engagement at the site; schedule engagement team monthly meetings, assist in coordinating yearlong events.

  • Liaison between employees and HR Manager; answering employee questions or pointing them to the right channels within the organization.

  • Support the site's staffing and onboarding efforts by working closely with onsite managers and recruiting vendor; screening resumes, coordinating in-person interviews, communication with candidates, onboarding, orientation.

  • Support HR Manager in assessing employee's skill gaps, identifying and developing employee's training needs.

  • Serve as backup to local or regional HR Managers when out of office.

  • Work on HR projects and create presentations for onsite meetings as required.

  • Conduct investigations, gather facts, analyze, summarize events, and provide solutions.

  • Responsible for driving Diversity & Inclusion programs and events for the site.

  • Provide best in class customer service to client groups and employees.

  • Work on other HR duties and projects as business needs require it.

The successful candidate must be able to pay close attention to detail, have outstanding customer service skills, strong organization skills, work with little supervision, multi-task oriented, excellent verbal and written communication, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, take initiative on learning, development, and assisting the HR management team.

  • The successful candidate will be willing and able to get involved in various functions of HR including Employee Relations, Staffing, Diversity, and Onboarding.

  • Must be highly ethical, trustworthy, confidential.

Education:

  • Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business Administration or Human Resources.

  • Minimum of 20 undergraduate credit hours

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
