Job Summary -

  • Lead business unit’s efforts to improve quality, process robustness & reduce turnbacks

  • Accountable for process improvements/development utilizing ACE operating system

  • Work with production to ensure processes, enable material flow and standard work

  • Lead and execute on cost reduction initiatives and ENS strategies

  • Successfully manage the unit’s durable tooling and engineering labor budgets

  • Collaborate with program offices, component product teams, customer representatives, and operations management

  • Develop business cases for cost reduction, new work initiatives & capital improvements projects and provide leadership to execute to plan

  • Read, write and speak English

Qualification:

Required Qualifications -

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or technical field.

  • 8+ years experience in manufacturing engineering

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Experience with coatings technology, braze and heat treat processes, machining and/or manufacturing.

  • Management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Analytical, problem solving and mathematics skills

  • Demonstrate skill and success in team leadership, facilitation and coaching skills

  • Working knowledge of shop practices, policies and procedures governing manufacturing engineering support requirements as well as work instruction documentation for manufacturing processes

  • Must be flexible relative to department assignment and availability for off-shift work

  • Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability in high stress, ambiguous assignments

  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and prioritize

  • Excellent computer skills

Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or technical field.
