Job Description

Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center, located in beautiful Southern Maine, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Repair Project Engineer with the creativity, drive, and desire to see their ideas become a reality. You will apply Project Engineering skills to support activities and technologies related to commercial and military gas turbine hardware. Hardware responsibilities include components found in the compressor, turbine, and bearing compartments. You will have strong fundamental engineering analysis skills and a hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes. Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected; excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Other activities and responsibilities include:

  • Detailed task planning and tracking, including earned value management

  • Coordinating integrated product development teams

  • Integration of technologies into product lines

  • Participating in investigations and corrective actions

  • You must be self-motivated and willing to take on challenging initiatives.

  • A record of achieving objectives within schedule and budget constraints, and driving continuous improvement is highly valued.

  • We’re looking for someone with demonstrated leadership skills.

  • We need a team player who also works well independently, and will be highly adaptable to changing business needs.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology

  • 4-7+ years experience in a program environment

  • US citizenship or green card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred

  • 4-7+ years of experience in a program environment related to hardware design and development is preferred

  • Demonstrated strong teaming and communication skills.

Education:

BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
