Otis Americas headquarters in sunny Palm Beach Gardens Florida is looking for a dynamic individual to lead a team of professional finance staff and support the Controllers organization in the next generation of finance systems.

This position will support the Financial Reporting team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of financial results. The position is responsible for leading the month end close process, evaluating for efficiencies and leveraging technology to streamline month end close and reporting while working closely with our operations accounting team, service center, contract accounting and FP&A teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals through empowerment and developing employees to achieve objectives

  • Provide oversight and support for month end processes and consolidation of Otis North America results for timeliness and accuracy

  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Evaluate systems for optimization and automated reporting

  • Analyze and report quarterly financial results to Otis Americas Controller and CFO

  • Support controls and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance

  • Lead process improvement initiatives through implementation

  • Participate in Accounting and Control Assessments and audits as requested

  • Coordinate annual Puerto Rico audit

  • Interface with UTC, WHQ, Outsource Providers and Regional Offices

  • Support the use of ACE tools to evaluate and improve Otis Finance processes

  • Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree: Accounting or Business Administration

  • MBA or CPA is a plus
