The Fire, Safety, and Security Products group at UTC Climate, Controls and Security is a global organization dedicated to providing product and technology designed to protect people and property with almost 15,000 employees. Notable brands within the group are Kidde, Edwards, Lenel, Supra, Onity, Fenwal, Det-Tronics, Fireye, Interlogix and GST.

We are currently looking for an Associate HR Director for our Fire, Safety and Security Products (FSP) group who can thrive in a fast-paced environment that can help develop our Global Human Resource team. We are seeking someone with high energy and who is a self-starter that will drive key human resources initiatives focused on talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and global reach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent acquisitions development:

  • Lead global performance, talent and organizational planning for Fire, Safety, and Security Products (FSP) division

  • Deliver talent management and development programs put forward from the Executive HR leader of UTC- CCS

  • Partner with Human Resources leadership team and business leaders to identify and develop talent management strategies to support business goals (both short-term and long-term)

  • Develop a strategic development plan that drives diverse talent recruitment and retention

  • Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a performance culture

  • Enable movement of current internal talent by being a champion of succession planning and talent agility within the organization

  • Motivate and coach managers to be effective leaders using global HR techniques

  • Strengthen organizational capability through coaching on organization design and team effectiveness

Talent acquisition management:

  • Drive HR innovation by serving as a thoughtful leader and consultant to the various global HR teams

  • Responsible for the Talent Acquisitions initiatives across Fire, Safety, and Security Products (FSP)

  • Support implementation of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) across FSP

Employee engagement and Inclusion

  • Coordinate employee engagement strategy especially culture change agenda and initiatives

  • Be a change agent for the organization in all aspects

  • Drive diversity and inclusion agenda throughout FSP

Qualification:

  • 10+ years of Human Resource strategy, organizational design and process development at a global organization

  • Experience working in a large complex global company

  • Desire and understanding of how to build cross-functional partnerships using business acumen

  • Excellent communication skills and global cultural competencies

  • Natural proactive approach to working with all levels of the organization

  • Advanced presentation skills (using online platforms such as WebEx as well as PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to change in a fast-paced environment with multiple work streams

  • Agile leader that can coach and strengthen cohesiveness

  • High sense of integrity and professionalism

  • Experience with creating and building HR projects that will add value to the success of the company’s objectives

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with a focus in HR, Organization Development, International HR Management or similar
