The focus of this position will be to manage SOX Compliance, SOX testing and centralized controls testing. Engage employees, enable diverse thinking, and drive innovation as you contribute to improving the overall control environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Complete North America GAP assessment for Sarbanes Oxley
Perform SOX testing
Manage timely closure of SOX issue tickets
Execute centralized testing on approval matrix, drafts, expense reports, purchasing cards
Review segregation of duties and system access reviews
Coordinate training
Lead committee for policy reviews
Support Guest Auditor program
Perform branch audits, accounting control assessments and audit investigations
Drive and monitor continuous improvement initiatives (ACE)
Other projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
Ability to travel approximately 10% of time
Education/Certifications
University degree in Accounting or Finance, plus 5 years
M.S. in Accounting or Finance, plus 3 years
Experience/Qualifications:
You should have an exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and leadership ability. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, as well as the ability to learn quickly and retain information. This role will also require the ability to prioritize, take on new challenges daily, and make sound business decisions.
Prior experience in audit and controls, or a strong accounting background
Outstanding Communication, Interpersonal, and computer skills
Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention detail
Motivated self-starter able to work with minimal direction
Natural desire to learn and curiosity for industry dynamics
Ability to fully utilize and adapt to changing technological resources
Assertive, goal-oriented individual who is a team player
Strong organizational skills
This role will primarily have exposure to all levels of Otis management across its 104 greater branch offices and operations throughout the US and Canada. Gain internal controls experience in a public company in which there is strong emphasis on internal controls. At the same time, learn the business by participating in audits of branch offices and Otis operations
