Work Environment Characteristic (representative):
Working with chemicals and adhesives that may emit fumes to include but not limited to: masking material, tin-lead solder, cleaning solutions, Loctite, RTV, epoxy. Rosin-based flux, paint, coating material.
Working with medium to high temperature equipment/materials to include but not limited to: soldering iron, thermal strippers, solder pot, molten solder, high-temp/blazing equipment, de-solder station, curing ovens
Working with enclosed x-ray and laser machines
Wearing static-control ad personal protective equipment to include but not limited to: safety eye wear, steel-toed or equivalent safety shoes, gloves, goggles, face shields, ESD straps, finger cots, smocks
Assemble a variety of electronic units using proper assembly techniques
Identify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part markings, color codes, container labels, etc.
Utilize a variety of hand tools (manual and power)
Solder electronic components
Operate assembly machines
Measure, mix, and apply a variety of chemicals and adhesives
Perform measurements using basic measuring instruments
Read and interpret assembly instructions, process instructions and engineering standards
Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, and standards)
Generate Non-Conforming Material (NCM) reject tags (short form)
Check and verify per work instructions
Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage
Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals
Recognize and take steps to resolve assembly/work area issues
Follow housekeeping requirements
Maintain accurate records of all work performed (e.g. labor charging, verification, assembly data, route card)
Communicate and interact with others in a professional, polite and cooperative manner
Report to work as scheduled on time
Comply with all company policies and procedures to include but not limited to Business Ethics, Employee Code of Conduct, Work Hours & Pay Practices, and Environmental Health & Safety
Experience / Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years directly related experience, or Associates Degree with minimum of 3 years directly related experience
Good reading and math skills
Good computer aptitude
Demonstrated assembly aptitude
Demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly instructions process instructions and engineering standards
Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring instruments and hand tools
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with others
Demonstrated ability to access and use computer systems (e.g. email, work instructions, attendance)
