This position is an entry-level Project Engineering professional. Participates in engineering activities that further success of overall project objectives. Organizes data, and prepares, maintains and develops recommendations for plans and progress reports to monitor project progress. Escalates problems as needed and works to complete project tasks.
•Design of inflatable structures for evacuation systems.
•Assist in products transition from design to manufacturing floor.
•Designs, develops and improves new or existing Aircraft components.
•Coordinates the building and testing of prototypes.
•Authors and reviews compilation of manuals for products.
•Assist Model Shop and/or Drafting.
•Performs analysis of components and systems.
•Performs financial analysis of a project's design components.
•Conceptualizes and prepares preliminary and final detail design and documentation of evacuation systems components and assemblies.
•Manages design process and revisions throughout product development.
•May be assigned limited responsibility for managing project obligations, such as management of technical documentation package for a product.
•Manages simple to moderately complex/sized projects including hardware design, testing and processing.
•Developing patentable material.
•Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
•Prepares or directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
•Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
•Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
*Education / Certifications
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. (Mechanical/Aerospace Preferred)
•This individual should be considered a technical expert in the design, development and regulatory approval of aircraft systems.
•This individual should be capable of proposing new technology and/or program directions in support of business unit objectives, as well as to provide technical consultation to Management.
•The Project Engineer position is for engineers with 0-2 years of component and system level design and development experience.
