Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Perform a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures. Train other employees and perform other duties as assigned. This level should require minimal direction and guidance, serving as key point of contact and subject matter expert/resource.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a variety of material handling/packaging equipment (e.g. stock-ladder, fork lift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, box compactor, sealer, hand-held tape dispensers, box cutters)

  • Identify correct parts, components, wires and other materials by part markings, color codes, container labels, etc. • Assist with package design as required (e.g. new product, custom packaging)

  • Assist with creating/revising desktop instructions

  • Utilize desktop instructions, parts lists, forms, and other work instructions to complete tasks

  • Perform bulk counting utilizing scales and tape & reel counters

  • Fill orders per bill of material (BOM) requirements

  • Package parts in proper packaging material (e.g. totes, bags, tubes, foam, bubble wrap)

  • Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage

  • Follow proper procedures for storing, shelving, and placing inventory

  • Utilize computer systems and printers (e.g. recording inventory transactions, generate labels, labor charging)

  • Assist in generating Non-Conforming Material (NCM) reject tags

  • Conduct cycle counts and record results

  • Support customer service window and process basic material requisitions (e.g. pick parts issue to order)

  • Track materials (physical and systems)

  • Unpack, verify condition of material, count and receive incoming materials; elevate & resolve discrepancies with minimal assistance

  • Package and ship materials per Material Shipping Order (MSO)/other shipping instructions (e.g. Interplant transfers)

  • Load and unload trucks, utilizing appropriate lifting equipment as needed

  • Occasionally drive to delivery locations

  • Receive and issue materials in to Tool Crib to include computer transactions and inventory control

  • Distribute material to internal plant locations

  • Build and break down boxes

  • Collect and properly dispose of materials (e.g. recyclables, trash, hazardous material)

  • Maintain appropriate levels of packaging supplies per min – max, replenish as necessary

  • Determine area/work priorities to accomplish production goals and provide guidance to co-workers

  • Recognize and take steps to resolve inventory discrepancies/work area issues

  • Follow housekeeping requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed (e.g. cycle counts, labor charging)

  • Communicate, interact and provide customer service in a professional, polite and cooperative manne

  • Report to work as scheduled on time

  • Operating motor vehicle on city streets and or highways

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • SAP experience in manufacturing environment required

  • Excellent reading and math skills

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Fully proficient in reading and following written and verbal instructions

  • Fully proficient in using basic measuring instruments (scale)

  • Fully proficient in effectively communicate and interact with others

  • Fully proficient in handling multiple tasks at the same time

  • Fully proficient in using a variety of computer systems/software to perform job (e.g. SAP, Via Search, JDE, One World, Outlook, Windows Operating System)

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum five (5) years directly related experience

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of three (3) years directly related experience
