Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality, and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise materials planners, MRP processes, and Kanban management

  • Lead the charge/change for effective inventory management.

  • Monitor material flow management for 100 percent on-time delivery to customers and inventory turn improvement

  • Responsible for maintenance of bill of material (BOM) and part data integrity, prepare plans and give commits for sales and production schedule/hours, and all production inventory transactions.

  • Manage team to utilize Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) system to ensure purchase order fulfillment

  • Coordinate resources to support New Production Introduction (NPI) inclusive to phase in/phase out

  • Resolve material shortages/overages; includes expediting or obsolescence processing

  • Work closely with quality personnel to ensure proper rework process is utilized

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

  • Know and follow established job specific and facility-wide health and safety procedures and rules

  • Responsible for materials team to expedite and reschedule open purchase orders to suit production planning requirements.

  • Review historical data including sales trends, research demand drivers, the material on time delivery, commodity spends within dedicated production cell.

  • Coordinate research data to identify significant variances.

  • Share, communicate and report on variances to both internal and external supply chain.

  • Execute with excellence in materials planning areas such as stock and demand replenishment providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.

  • Provide support to the manufacturing department to actively manage the production schedules.

  • Planning and monitoring production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all customer orders.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • Management and analysis of statistical reporting, forecasting, and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting

  • Project management experience and multiple tasks within a materials organization

  • Proficiency working with an ERP/MRP system (SAP experience a plus)

  • Ability to lead a group and work with minimal supervision and work independently to drive tasks to completion

  • Ability to coordinate properly for new product introduction, out of production spares, and customer returned material

  • A sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure

  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of the materials discipline and planning role with a desire to continue developing specialized knowledge

  • Expert in the use of all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)

  • Knowledge of SQL programming and report generation a plus

  • Strong communication skills as well as problem-solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree w/8 years experience

  • OR Master of Arts/Master of Science degree w/5 years experience

  • APICS certification preferred
