ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee a production team to super serve our customer base and support strong year over year growth. Through companywide collaboration drive solutions to automate production processes and leverage technology to lead the highly competitive market. Develop high performers in to key contributors of the future through mentoring and education.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise team members on day-to-day production goals, activities, deadlines, quality, output and performance

  • Maximize the effectiveness of the processes through continuous improvement in methods and workflow, encouraging participation from all team members in lean processes associated with the Lean, Six Sigma and ACE processes

  • Collaborate with engineering to drive automation solutions in production processes in order to improve quality, productivity and reduce labor content

  • Implement and continuously review/update quality procedures and processes according to engineering specifications and ISO standards

  • Insure testing procedures are followed based upon engineering criteria provided, developing new tests as needed

  • Anticipate and solve operational challenges, provide recommendations and reports to the Operations Manager and ensure metrics are updated

  • Responsible for candidate selection such as interviewing and making hiring recommendations.

  • Perform mid-year and annual performance reviews, providing feedback on performance, achievements, improvement and goal objectives

  • Mentor and coach in the areas of leadership, teamwork, continuous improvement, safety, productivity and lean tools/methods (ACE)

  • Evaluate training and development needs for individual team members. Perform gap analysis to develop and improve performance

  • Cultivate an environment that promotes individual accountability at all levels plus celebrate success

  • Conduct safety and product training

  • Assign tasks, train employees and assure quality and productivity within required standards

  • Manage employee administrative actions, changes in methods, techniques and other matters of a similar complexity

Qualification:

  • Must have previous supervisory experience

  • Superior analytical, communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Strong computer software operational skills with Excel, Word, and Outlook required. Visio, PowerPoint, Project and Access a plus

  • Knowledge of manufacturing accounting, job costing, MRP, inventory management and budgeting

  • Previous knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and ACE/lean quality systems

  • General knowledge and experience with automation

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in a technology environment
