UTC Aerospace Systems Materials & Process Engineering Department has an opening for a chemical engineering co-op to support legacy and development aerospace programs. The role requires working with internal engineering customers and suppliers to assist with materials and process (M&P) evaluations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing outside supplier process evaluations, providing analytical services, and debris filtering and identification.

Much of the work for this position will be in a laboratory environment, and require operating specialized analytical equipment. Formal written reports documenting all work will be required.

Qualification:

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled with at least 30 credit hours earned to date toward a bachelors degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Candidate must currently have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at their current university.

  • Candidate is required to have good verbal and written communication skills and ability work well in team environments.
