Primary Responsibilities

  • Read diagrams with high tolerance specifications to create and cut pieces.

  • Uses or reads measuring instruments such as micrometers, caliper, optical compactor, digital readout and high precision indicators.

  • Make your own assembly and obtain a product that has high precision

  • Works with internal and external grinding hydraulic semi-automatic machines.

  • Works with semi-automatic milling machines.

  • Works on high precision semi-automatic lathe assemblies.

  • Receives accessories and devices (fixtures) to make better assemblies.

  • Carry out high-precision gauging.

  • Create and mold your own cutting tools in compliance with OSHA regulations.

  • Interpret drawings and plans.

  • Measures with high precision machines.

  • Meets the safety requirements of the OSHA machine shop.

  • Carries out its duties according to the company's policies and procedures.

  • Complies with company policies and procedures.

  • Maintains an acceptable record of attendance and punctuality.

  • Produces the required amount of good quality work.

  • Follow the rules and practices of security and organization in your area.

  • Properly reports the work done.

  • Keeps your equipment and surrounding areas clean and organized.

  • Participate in the EH & S trainings as scheduled.

  • Actively supports the organization's efforts to meet or exceed the goals and plans of EH & S.

  • Recommends improvements to EH & S practices.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications

  • Four years or more of experience

Education:

  • Certified degree as machinist, certified in materials technique and knowledge of the process of statistical control. Handle automatic and manual equipment.
