Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities for employees in the assigned cells.

  • Manage overall operation on a plant floor and ensure production, quality, visual shop and safety goals among others are met.

  • Develop and maintain a work group which is capable of meeting and exceeding departmental objectives.

  • Plan and coordinate production schedule with efficient utilization of personnel and equipment.

  • Clearly communicate company policy and procedures, core values and job expectations by planning, monitoring appraising job results, coaching and training, mentoring, and disciplining hourly employees as deemed appropriate in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment; educate and direct personnel on the proper use of control points, equipment, and available resources to maintain compliance with established environmental, health and safety policies.

Qualification:

  • Proven ability to lead functional groups and operational units.

  • Experience in development and management of budget, staffing, and business operations results.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Experience documenting employee related issues, monitoring employee attendance and administering disciplinary actions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish.

  • Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ACE and Project Management skills.

  • Good attendance and disciplinary record.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (engineering preferred) with 5-7 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience

  • Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing environment highly preferred
