Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction for inspection and quality control of manufactured parts and materials including all dimensional, special and vendor quality control, metallurgical/chemical analysis and laboratory control

  • Direct support activities such as methods and procedures, planning and revision, gage planning and review, quality and reliability engineering, review and disposition of material variances

  • Delegate and assign responsibilities in any of the areas such as ACE, quality assurance engineering and planning, parts inspection, defect analysis, statistical process control, etc

  • Initiate action to correct as well as to prevent problems involving defective or discrepant parts which cannot be resolved by line supervision, or are of a special nature, or result from manufacturing or engineering changes

  • Ensure that the training for new hires are carried out and individual proficiency levels maintained

  • Coordinate quality problems with QA and Producibility Group and initiate action plans to resolve problems

  • Work with other operating departments to resolve problems relative to product design, specifications, materials, tooling and production operations affecting quality

EH&S:

  • Support and participate in the EH&S programs and activities within the company

  • Report all incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills etc), hazardous conditions, and emergencies to his/her supervisor

  • Responsible for performing a risk assessment of work activities, taking corrective and preventive actions

  • Comply with EH&S regulations/policies/programs/rules and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Participate in audits and inspections as and when required

  • Attend EH&S training programs and takes personal responsibility for safety

  • Chair & drive Bedok/Changi WSH committee (only for those who are)

Ethics & Compliance:

  • Understand and carry out work performance in compliance with the UTC Code of Ethics, its Supplements and governing policies and the International Trade Policies and Procedures

ACE:

  • Support the Continuous Improvement programs and ACE activities within the company

  • Minimum ACE Associate certification under ACP
