Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees can network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Metrology Laboratory Technician supporting Calibration Lab (shared responsibility)

  • Perform DYNO testing, Structural Lug Testing (SLT), Hardness, and Microscopy and Thermal and Mechanical Testing and provide informative feedback as needed.

  • Explain test results to the test originator.

  • Perform a variety of activities relating to the testing performed by other quality functions.

  • Perform functional testing of measuring instrument/equipment to ensure proper functionality.

  • Work closely with site engineering group to analyze results and make appropriate provisions to move product to satisfy customer demand.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic GD&T: ability to use measurement gauging, discern requirements by evaluating blueprint drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to understand complicated verbal instructions, analyze data and formulate reports.

  • Experience with MS Office set of tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Experience with SPC tools, i.e. Minitab, QI Analyst, or equivalent.

  • 4 years of manufacturing experience.

  • All U.S. positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Calibration experience.

  • 1 year of Metrology experience.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
