Pratt & Whitney PSD provides the aviation industry with capabilities for specialized repair of gas turbine engine cases and components. • This is a second shift opportunity. Days/hours are Monday - Friday; 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period on 1st shift. Overtime opportunity is available. This position entails operating TIG and Electron Beam (EB) weld equipment in manual and automatic configurations for welding case parts and material for the aerospace industry. 1. Set-up and operate TIG and EB welding machines. 2. Prepare parts for welding. 3. Maintain machine set-up information. 4. Weld parts to specifications as outlined in work instructions. 5. Inspect parts before and after welding. 6. Complete required paperwork. 7. Maintain internal weld certifications. 8. Blend parts as needed to prepare for the next operation. 9. Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment. 10. Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualification: • Experience with TIG welding • Ability to pass standard weld certifications internally • Related experience preferred
High school degree or GED Technical trade school / certifications preferred Related experience preferred
