This position is responsible for the leadership of Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Analysis and Joint Venture Accounting teams within the Finance department at Landing Systems. The position will have a primary focus on FP&A for consolidated Landing Systems financial results with responsibility for day to day supervision and development of three direct reports.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Financial Planning & Analysis requirements including monthly financial forecasts, gap analysis, and gap closure planning.

  • Lead the financial process for the annual and 5-year strategic planning exercises.

  • Financial analysis and coordination of Goodrich-Messier, Inc. Joint Venture business financials and board presentations

  • Drive and ensure linkage between cost reduction initiatives and the P&L

  • Support Program Management and Program Finance with financial analysis to drive better understanding of program cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvements.

  • Support ad hoc management & customer requests for financial information including support of Senior Leadership presentations

  • Drive continued integration of Landing Systems financial information as presented to Senior Leadership or in monthly and quarterly deliverables for UTAS FP&A

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or master’s degree with 8+ years of finance and accounting experience

Preferred:

  • CPA preferred

  • In-depth understanding of financial statements & core finance/accounting concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-starter capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to recognize key issues and effectively communicate those to management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Team oriented leader with the ability to develop talent

  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout the business and finance organizations

  • Strong spreadsheet, power point, and financial systems experience

  • Knowledge of financial systems (SAP, Hyperion)
