Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of commodity and supplier development strategies for a direct product that supports the strategic objectives of the Business Unit and Company.

  • Act as a team lead for department personnel to ensure the achievement of key goals in the areas of supplier performance, product cost reduction, management, and execution of supplier agreements and monitoring supplier compliance.

  • Conduct RFQs and perform bid analysis.

  • Be the Lead LTA (Long Term Agreement) negotiator for the team and support team members in complex negotiations.

  • Organize efforts with regards to supplier performance improvements, expediting requests, and Supplier onsite support on critical recovery plans.

  • Work with Operational Procurement, Engineering and Program Management to ensure the successful introduction of new programs and successful transfer of production requirements to new suppliers.

  • Lead multiple buy to buy, buy to make, and make to buy projects.

  • Collaborate with leadership from other Business Units and the corporate commodity organization to develop broad based commodity or supplier strategies.

  • Coach, train, mentor and support development of other team members.

  • Drive special projects with Suppliers and cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience.

  • 3 -5 years’ experience in and strong knowledge of Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement, and Commodity Management.

  • Strong analytical skills (MS Excel)

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior leadership

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Demonstrated team building, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in developing project plans, overcoming obstacles, and managing projects through to successful execution.

  • Must have a valid Passport

  • Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or be an appropriate visa holder.

  • U.S. positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace/Automotive/Industrial experience

  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant STEM discipline.

  • Certificate in Supply Chain

  • Technical or manufacturing expertise a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant STEM discipline.
