Experienced quality professional. May lead a team of primarily intermediate to experienced Quality Assurance professionals setting day-to-day objectives in Continuous Improvement and provides input and/or guidance to others inside quality function. Responsible for moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems and/or products to enhance quality performance. Oversees quality initiatives to assist internal staff, suppliers, customers, and partners with initiatives to reengineer processes and methods that adequately assure quality of an organization's products. Recommends process and procedural changes to ensure that company objectives in the areas of quality, cost, and efficiency are met. Ensures that quality control procedures adequately evaluate an organization's products and protect customers.
Manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
Manages implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
Manages quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
Manages the collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources for use in developing long-term quality strategy and programs.
Manages production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level professionals.
Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Experience in Machining, CNC, Forgings, castings, gaging is desired.
Experience in large component machining industries such as Aerospace, Medical Devices, Automotive, etc.
Familiarity with assembly operations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and other problem solving tools.
Experience with SAP and a Manufacturing Resource planning software.
Engineering degree is preferred.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
