Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.

  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.

  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed UTC requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.

  • Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies. Executes Supply Chain strategies.

  • Establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.

  • Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.

  • Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.

  • Evaluates vendors' capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness. Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.

  • All U.S. positions require a background check, which may include a drug screen.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Commodity Management in a manufacturing context OR a minimum of 3 years of same along with an advanced degree.

  • Experience using SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace/Automotive/Industrial Experience

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Experience with MS Excel

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Master’s or other advanced degree

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
