As part of the Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) team, you'll help develop* the next generation of more intelligent, more integrated and more reliable solutions that enhance aircraft safety and performance in the most rigorous flight conditions. Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly.

  • Perform inspection and maintain qualified operator program (QOP) certifications.

  • Perform rework.

  • Perform unique assembly processes.

  • Accurately read blueprints.

  • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools.

  • Demonstrate proper use of electrical measuring devices.

  • Demonstrate proper use of mechanical measuring devices.

  • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.

  • Take ownership of accuracy of processes.

  • Customer Focus:

  • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team.

  • Build parts that meet drawing specifications.

  • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).

  • Project Work:

  • Work successfully in a team environment.

  • Handle multiple tasks.

  • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certification as required.

  • Comply with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts (ACE).

  • Understand end use of manufactured product.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet deadlines and quality requirements.

  • Special Projects:

  • Train others for technical tasks.

  • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.

  • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.

  • Achieve special process certification where applicable.

  • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem solving.

  • Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).

  • Communication:

  • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge or resolve problems related to business issues.

  • Effectively interact with others.

  • Participation:

  • Participate in cost reduction plans.

  • Participate in waste minimization efforts.

  • Participate in audits.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.

  • 1 year of experience working with computers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Experience working in production

  • Position is NOT for ITAR hardware

  • Proficient with mechanical skills and soldering

  • Ability to focus on safety and quality is extremely important.

  • Highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Willing to work overtime when needed

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
