Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of commercial aerospace components.

  • Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Project Work: 

  • Follows blueprints, guidelines and or diagram to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. 

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job. 

  • Operates production equipment using tools such as an oscilloscope or digital multimeter. 

  • Requires detailed instructions to perform trouble shooting on products. 

  • Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions. 

  • Able to diagnose down to major subsystem. 

  • Has the foundational education and training to troubleshoot, calibrate or modify hardware, fixtures, and software. 

  • Participates on project teams. 

  • Perform task prioritization. 

  • Interacts with other functional groups (e.g. engineering, manufacturing) on routine technical matters. 

  • Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.

  • Manufacturing Activities Support activities through the resolution of problems and preparation and maintenance of documentation.

  • Manage work flow throughout area to achieve team goals.

  • Evaluate and troubleshoot non-conformances.

  • Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawings or sketches.

  • Identify and correct minor process, material, design, or equipment Documentation

  • Provide accurate recording of time changes, test data, parts usage, etc. This requires limited data interpretation.

  • Utilize multiple databases to create/use necessary information to provide information for decision making requiring limited judgment.

Technical Asset Management

  • Manage technical assets.

  • Requisition, manage, and maintain technical assets.

Travel Requirements: 

  • Minimal travel may be required.

Other Position Requirements: 

  • Safety glasses and other safety equipment are required depending on task. 

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including over forty hours a week and/or in multiple areas 

  • Must be able to obtain and hold Government Secret Clearance if required. 

  • Be part of the FAA Drug and Alcohol pool, if required Communication and Comprehension Skills: (The level needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively to production team personnel.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 year's of manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Production assembly experience

  • Must have experience in troubleshooting and problem solving. 

  • Must be highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

Education:

  • 2 year Technical Degree

  • VTC onsite Technician Certificate

  • Military Certification or

  • 3+ years equivalent experience
