United Technologies Aerospace Systems is looking for an FP&A Analyst to join the Finance team in Vermont. As an analyst, you will partner with other departments to drive the development of the companies budgeting and FP&A processes as part of the FP&A team. The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter who is excited to support a cross-functional team through complex analyses. You will be a consummate communicator and provide insights that will enable senior management to make decisions on the direction of the company.

United Technologies Aerospace Systems is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in Vermont. As an analyst, you will partner with other departments to drive the development of the company’s budgeting and FP&A processes as part of the FP&A team. Job Function

  • Work across FP&A and the organization to support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and process improvements.

  • Learn and foster interdepartmental understanding of new ASC606 GAAP accounting rules adopted by UTC in 2018; this includes: part evaluation, monthly reporting, forecasting, quarterly part validation and maintenance.

  • Perform variance analysis of budgeted/forecasted against actual financial performance, clearly interpreting and documenting variances and cost drivers

  • Support monthly financial close and weekly operational performance reviews by articulating the “story” implied by the analytical findings

  • Support ad-hoc analyses required by FP&A

  • Foster entrepreneurial spirit across the company and lead cultural awareness towards developing FP&A to be the heartbeat of the organization

Qualification:

  • Experience with data analysis/management, financial modeling and presentation skills with the ability to draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations

  • Ability to balance multiple, diverse priorities and produce deliverables of high quality

  • Working knowledge of financial reporting and accounting

Preferred Qualification

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business with 5 years of related experience
