As the Customer Fleet Director (CFD), you're the point of contact for Delta Air Lines. You'll work closely with the Senior Director and the Delta Customer Focus Team driving customer happiness and acting as the focal point for Delta in support of the operations and maintenance; including IAE products. Your responsibilities will include product/technical elements, support of P&W business objectives and supervision & career development of your representatives in the field.

The technical elements will include:

  • Dedicatedly monitoring Delta’s operating fleets, detecting and managing emerging technical issues

  • Providing accurate shop visit forecasts for the IAE and P&W powered fleets, maintaining forecasts monthly and communicating shop visit requirements and changes for planning purposes

  • Working with Delta, Customer Technical Service, Programs, Spares and Fleet Teams developing and executing plans aimed at resolving fleet technical issues

  • You'll serve as focal for communicating plans and coordinating resources required to minimize operational disruptions and mitigate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and developing and coordinating entry into service (EIS) plans to ensure a smooth introduction of PW1500G and PW1100G family products into Delta’s fleets

Business elements include:

  • Managing the customer relationship to ensure flawless service, measuring customer happiness using formal and informal feedback, and leading internal organizations’ action plans to address and resolve customer issues

  • Working closely with P&W Engine Services in the management of IAE Fleet Hourly Agreements (FHAs) and Fleet Management Plans (FMPs)

  • Working with customer and internal organizations developing support proposals to address non-contractual warranty claims that also bring value to P&W

  • Identifying and communicating sales and service opportunities to appropriate business unit and sales managers

Management & Career Development responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of Field Service Representatives, providing direction and leadership for the team to provide 24/7 support to address critical customer issues

  • Ensuring field office staffing matches customer and business needs and maintaining succession plans for critical positions

  • Development of field personnel and guiding progression of proficiency in their current assignment and development of skills to fulfill future goals

  • Travel required will be approximately 20%

Note: This position will be located in Atlanta, Georgia with a term of 3-5 years.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of work experience in the Aerospace industry

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a direct or indirect customer facing position in Customer Support, Sales, Engine Services, Engineering or other external customer facing discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in STEM, Business or Management

  • Master's degree in a technical or business discipline

  • Knowledge of engine systems; familiarity with commercial engine business model, aftermarket operations and functions;

  • Strong personal skills; solid ability to build unquestioning relationships and a track record of initiative and focus in solving complex problems
