Description:

The Material Control Laboratory at Pratt & Whitney AutoAir is seeking a skilled laboratory Supervisor to lead a team of Specialists and Technicians performing a broad range of testing in support of local production. The successful candidate should have experience leading a team in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Laboratory Technicians

  • Conduct and evaluate laboratory testing

  • Control incoming raw materials and parts through established system (MARES)

  • Maintain documentation and compliance to laboratory processes and procedures

  • Provide support to P&W Operations and Engineering Teams

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment

  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role

  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong data analysis skills

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for this position

  • A strong verbal and written communicator with good customer skills

  • Able to function effectively in a laboratory and production environment with people of a broad variety of skills and backgrounds

  • Able to balance multiple assignments and priorities.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Material Engineering or a related technical field.
