Pratt & Whitney Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a Field Service Representative (FSR) to represent P&W at Edwards AFB, CA in the high visibility, team oriented environment of the F-35 Integrated Test Force.

Field Service Representatives provide planning and support for F-35/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and processes. You'll have hands-on interaction with the engine, aircraft, and military maintainers. There may be some limited involvement as well with test stand operations for testing F135 engines prior to AC installations as well as low thrust leak checks on-wing.

Coordination activity will be required between P&W, Associate defense contractors, Government Representatives, the US Military and partner countries to ensure F135 Maintenance Capability and milestones are accomplished on schedule.

This role will comprise working closely with other locally based FSR’s, P&W Engineering, P&W technicians, and Squadron Maintainers to resolve technical and logistical problems involving the F135 engine operation and maintenance, within the Intermediate and Organizational levels, as well as maturing the F135 support system.

Field Service Representatives will use self-initiative to identify problems, conduct investigations to resolve root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, the US Services, and Associate Contractors.

You will handle field issues with P&W Site Leads, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management personnel.

You'll also team with other PW on-site personnel to achieve Program, Environmental Health & Safety Employee Fulfillment and Quality initiatives.

You are willing to work 1st or 2nd shift, at least on a rotational basis and be willing to flex schedule and work any shift/occasional weekends/holidays to meet customer support objectives.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • You will have acquired B.A. /B.S. in related engineering/technical field, plus appropriate experience.

  • You'll also possess 7+ years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems project engineering, logistics management, propulsion control systems, engine assembly planning, flight/development test engineering, or engine/aircraft maintenance.

  • Must be US Citizen due to DoD contracts

  • You must be able to obtain US Secret Clearance for position requirements within 12-18 months and maintain. ​
