If so, we want to hear from you. We have a rare opportunity for a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Logistic team at the Georgia Distribution Center. In this role, you will update the required IT systems to enable the parts to be final packed and shipped and will coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activity as a Quality Review Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Management Systems

  • Leads and coordinates Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) initiatives

  • Lead and assist with Quality initiatives to continually improve performance and reduce escapes

  • Support, direct, and train Inspection personal

  • Review, investigate and make dispositions of parts or materials placed on Quality Review due to deviations from engineering specifications

  • Review and interpret applicable engineering detail and assembly drawings, engine manuals, clearance charts, engineering changes, and specifications to determine the severity of the material deviations

  • Make dispositions of parts and materials based on evaluation of technical requirements and end use

  • As required, develop and write rework & repair techniques that return parts to an acceptable condition

  • Evaluate Quality Notifications and related documentation for accuracy and completeness as received from both internal and external sources

  • Provide the necessary controls for storage and control of nonconforming material

  • Perform JC&L2 ITC classifications

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Travel may be up to 10%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering or other technical field of study preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering

  • US citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in part inspection

  • Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities

  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement

  • Excellent Judgment and professional maturity

  • Ability to create positive relationships and craft clear communications

  • Computer skills- Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities

  • Excellent communication, prioritization, project management and multi-tasking skills

  • Results focused work ethic to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Associate level or Lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma green belt experience preferred

  • Possess a strong understanding of effective Quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business environments

  • Excellent Organizational Skills and ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization

  • Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems
