Description:

We have a rare opportunity for a Quality Inspection Technician in Moses Lake, WA.

In this exciting role, you will follow customer requirements, regulatory requirements and corporate policies in support of Systems Engineering-Validation (SE-V) commercial flight test operations. You will also perform a wide range of inspection duties monitoring flight test operations and providing on-site, flight line and off wing quality support of flight test operations on delivered engines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Quality Focal for all on site flight test operations

  • Coordinate with the flight test team, customer quality organization and P&W program quality manager

  • FOD Focal at the site

  • Work and coordinate with the customer quality organization

  • Perform flight test inspections; manage engine records and hardware processes

  • Respond to customer escapes and handle non-conforming material on site; coordinating with engineering and quality personnel remotely

  • Serve as an issue resolution focal point that works with engineering, customer service support, and operations in order to support flight test operations

  • Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities

  • Oversee investigations and lead DIVE investigations

  • Travel may be up to 20%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required

  • 10+ years of experience in engine, quality and/or aerospace areas

  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

  • Engine/Airframe manual interpretation, diagram and blueprint reading skills

  • Proficient with precision measuring tools

  • Understanding of jet engine operating principles and inspection processes/methods

  • Ability to comprehend assembly/repair and test processes, procedures & engineering documentation

  • Ability to query data from SAP and Solumina database systems

  • Experience & training in P&W flight test operations and engine assembly shop floor environment preferred

  • Work with a diverse group of skilled workers including international workforce

  • Proficiency with Teamcenter
