The effective Regional Sales Manager will display expertise in the development, deployment and management of sales and marketing strategies and programs to promote market growth of residential products in a highly competitive market(s). Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager will provide effective liaison and support to all channel partners (distributors, national accounts and contractors) in areas of sales, marketing, pricing, product support and business development. Understanding the residential HVAC market, customer segments, legislation trends, HVAC products and primary competitors will be essential in a successful candidate. The Regional Sales Manager must possess the ability to analyze sales/market data and influence channel partners to drive growth strategies and business results. This position will support the southeast market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for sale of residential products, market growth and business development

  • Develop and influence channel growth strategies with distributor customers to increase market share and improve customer relations

  • Train distributor's Territory Managers on Carrier, Bryant & Payne residential HVAC products and marketing programs

  • Responsible for forecasting distributor programs, budgets and sales

  • Engage, collaborate and coordinate with channel (manufacturer, distributor, dealer, builder, etc.) and cross functionally with marketing, operations, pricing as required to successfully attain objectives.

  • Full accountability and ownership of distributor customers

  • Communicate, launch and manage factory sales and marketing programs with customers

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Provides strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in area of expertise

  • Contributes to the company and the industry by advancing the level of knowledge in the discipline

  • Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise

  • Is seen as a leading expert within their field

Qualification:

  • 5 years of field and HVAC channel sales experience and proven ability to meet demanding customer requirements

  • Thorough understanding of market place dynamics including industry trends and assessment of key competitors programs

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience

  • Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint)

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

  • Superior follow-up and follow-through skills

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of professional experience or MBA degree with 7+ years of professional experience.
