The OTIS NAA Digital & IoT Group has a great opportunity to work as a Technical Product Manager/Scrum Master in the support and development of new systems in the Digital and IoT space.

Work with a cross-functional team of software developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to define, design, plan and implement new technologies to enhance OTIS offerings for internal and external customers.

Duties will include:

  • Working with Product Owners and Key Stakeholders for large projects, by helping to define and prioritize the correct problems to be solved to maximize organizational value.

  • Promoting and supporting Scrum principles by helping all team members to understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, values and their individual roles.

  • Analyzing make/buy decisions for finished products and system components.

The Technical Product Manager/Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum team and will help those outside of the Scrum team to understand which of their interactions with the Scrum team are helpful, and which are not. The Scrum Master will help all participants to change their interactions to maximize the value of the team and the products that they produce.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Product Manager/Scrum Master Service to the Product Owner:

  • Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum team

  • Find techniques for effective Product Backlog management

  • Help the Scrum team to understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items

  • Understand current OTIS project standards and how to merge them with Agile/Scrum principles

  • Assist the Product Owner in prioritizing the Product Backlog to maximize value

  • Understanding and practicing Agile principles

  • Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed

Technical Product Manager/Scrum Master Service to the Development Team:

  • Coaching the Development team in self-organization and cross-functionality

  • Helping the Development Team to create high value products

  • Removing obstacles

  • Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed

Technical Product Manager/Scrum Master Service to the Organization:

  • Leading and coaching the organization in Scrum adoption

  • Planning Scrum implementations within the organization

  • Coordinating with other Scrum Masters to increase effectiveness

Qualification:

  • 7+ years experience in Technical Product Management of enterprise level digital solutions (cloud/web/mobile)

  • 5+ years experience leading Scrum teams

  • Proven experience gathering project requirements and building product backlogs

  • Ability to write technical requirements

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams that span across different time zones and locations

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or computer science required.

  • Scrum Master certification preferred, but will be waived in lieu of practical experience
