This is an amazing new Experimental Test Engineer opportunity at our West Palm Beach, Florida facility.

The Systems Engineering & Validation Test Engineering Organization is seeking a highly-motivated, creative, high-energy, hands-on ground test engineer to support experimental military and commercial jet engine test activities.

Responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

  • Providing technical direction and daily task coordination, cross functional team leadership, troubleshooting, test stand direction, and execution of developmental and endurance testing1

  • You'll provide innovative solutions to test requirements, often in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.

  • You will have the opportunity to join a talented and diverse multi-disciplinary organization while working with highly skilled hourly and salaried employees, as well as partners and customers.

  • Supporting programs including F119, F135, APU, and Geared Turbofan

  • You would expect to have frequent off-shift coverage and the ability to work a flex schedule to cover weekends to support our 24/7 test operations

  • Position requires periodic travel to offsite test locations within the United States (TN, CT, etc) and occasional travel to test sites around the world

  • Travel expectation would be around 30%

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with at least 3 years of experience with jet engine hardware, assembly and/or testing OR aircraft jet engine maintenance experience

  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret level security clearance is required

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

  • Knowledge of engine performance and test data analysis

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes

  • Self-motivation to plan required tasks and lead the team to achieve significant goals with little outside direction

  • Flexibility to adapt to fluid customer requirements, priorities, and schedules

  • Current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance

Education:

Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline
