The Systems Engineering & Validation Test Engineering Organization is seeking a highly-motivated, creative, ambitious, hands-on individual to support experimental military and commercial jet engine test activities. Responsibilities include support of multi-functional team leadership, troubleshooting, and execution of developmental and endurance testing. You will be expected to work with the test team to provide innovative solutions to test requirements, often in a high-pressure environment while working with minimum outside supervision. You will have the opportunity to join a talented and diverse multi-disciplinary organization while working with highly skilled hourly and salaried employees, as well as partners and customers. Supported programs including F119, F135, APU, and Geared Turbofan.

Qualification: Required Qualifications

  • AA/AS Degree in technical discipline Airframe and Power Plant Certification

  • 10+ years of experience with jet engine hardware, assembly, instrumentation and/or testing.

  • US Citizen, due to Government contracts

  • Ability to obtain an US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 years industry or military experience and engine test/hush house experience desired.

  • Working knowledge of gas turbine engines.

  • Working knowledge of test equipment and instrumentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Effective time management and interpersonal skills required to prioritize actions and lead multiple activities.

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes.

  • Flexibility to adapt to fluid customer requirements, priorities, and schedules.

  • Frequent off-shift coverage and ability to flex schedule to cover weekends is required to support 24/7 test operations.

  • Position requires periodic travel to offsite test locations within the United States (TN, CT, etc) and occasional travel to test sites around the world.
