Description:

Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering group seeks a goal-oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work in the Operational Military Engines Fan/HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Project Engineer. The selected candidate will be the CIPT focal person responsible for task execution. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and well-rounded general project engineering skills.

Specific responsibilities include:


• Coordinate with identified F119 Fan/HPC Production Restart Manager to develop & implement delivery strategies to support F119 production engine deliveries beginning July 2021

• Work within the Supply Chain to identify high-risk items, perform risk assessments, and develop / manage risk mitigation plans to mitigate impact to on-time delivery

• Drive key processes such as Cold Start and ESA to closure for critical Fan/HPC hardware

• Plan & manage task budget and schedule in accordance with required EVMS program negotiated deliverables

• Prepare and present task status and technical content to the CIPT and Cold Section Engineering management

• Propose Class 1 & 2 engineering changes in support of re-start activities

• Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) and supplier requests for information (SRI’s).

Qualification: 20% Travel Required

U.S. Citizenship Required

Engineering degree with 5+ years’ experience with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed plans in support of higher level goals. Proficiency with Teamcenter and SAP a plus

Education: BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required. MS in Engineering or MBA preferred
