The OTIS North Americas Application Development and Support team has a great opportunity to work as an Sr. Application Software Engineer to be part of our team that is currently building our next generation of systems for our Customer and Field Service Applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is in charge of two main areas, one is involved in many aspects of the software development lifecycle and a key role in our systems transformations project and the second area is to be the Technical Product Owner of a large portion of our Application Portfolio.

Some of the roles and responsibility of this role are:

  • Technical Product Owner of 10+ critical applications. Applications span from multiple platforms, from websites, to mobile, and multiple data interfaces

  • Provide technical solutions and estimates to business cases and project proposals

  • Work with software development teams to develop software to integrate our internal systems to cloud based systems

  • Provide technical roadmaps and technical solutions to accomplish project milestones

  • Be an ambassador for application standards and documentation

  • Identify areas of improvement and report suggested course of actions

  • Participate in Application Support reviews with the team(s) in charge of supporting the applications in scope

Qualification:

  • 7+ years developing complex software systems. Preferred domains are: field service, financial, customer sales

  • 5+ years of hands on technical experience developing applications using the Microsoft .NET Stack, traditional,

  • 3+ years with proven record of developing and architecting solutions to meet the business requirements

  • 3+ years experience with working with large development projects with multiple teams involved

  • Understanding of agile product development lifecycles

  • Experience in waterfall and Agile project management

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Bus, Azure SQL, IaaS, PaaS

  • ITIL experience a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field required

  • Master's degree preferred
