Responsibilities:

  • Management - Manage group of master production schedulers, production planners, and shop floor planners to provide materials management support across all value streams of the business.

  • Forecast Reporting - Coordinate materials input to the weekly Forecast report. Identify materials and capacity constraints providing corrective actions to meet plans.

  • Demand Management - Oversee backlog analysis to include Pre-plans, Forecast, MAM's, Sales Orders, Credit Hold and ITAR Hold. Manage Sales Order Advance initiative.

  • Supply Management - oversee and coordinate Supply Reviews in support of the Sales and Operations Planning process; manage shortages and coordinate communication on supply exceptions.

  • MPS/MRP - Manage inputs/outputs providing an effective planning and scheduling tool. Ensure data integrity within the functional planning modules. Instill execution disciplines.

  • Capacity Planning - Create monthly department load profiles identifying over/under load conditions and provide strategic analysis to support corrective measures.

  • Work In Process Management - Be the Champion for inventory reduction initiatives. Establish and execute plans to reduce inventory levels, increase turns,improve accuracy. Oversee utilization of kanban/pull systems.

  • Procurement - Work closely with Procurement Team to coordinate inventory reduction activities. Provide input to DMP goals and monitor performance.

  • Customer Service - Report and manage OTD performance. Provide liaison between Contracts and Manufacturing to effectively manage high profile deliveries.

  • Provide Month End Reports and Metrics.

  • Configuration Control Board (CCB)

  • Provide direction to Planning in identifying material status, cost and impact of proposed engineering changes. Ensure dispositions are executed minimizing obsolescence and impact on inventory.

  • Integrated Product Teams (IPT) - Provide materials support for new product introductions. Coordinate new product development requests with manufacturing determining material availability and manufacturing capability. Submit Evidence of Closure (EOC) for Standard Work Activities.

  • ACE/CIT/EH&S - Direct staff and support all ACE initiatives. Ensure compliance with EH&S directives. Engage staff in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification:

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of work related experience

  • Must be proficient in the use of Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft applications

  • Due to federal regulation or contracting requirements, this position is only available to U.S. persons.

Preferred

  • Supervisory experience

  • APICS certified is preferred (CPIM)

  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (SAP); including familiarity with Sales and Ops Planning and Master Production Scheduling
