ISR & Space Systems is currently seeking a highly motivated, high energy, experienced Strategy Development Manager, Defense. This position is responsible for formulating strategic plans including identification of new strategic business opportunities, development of strategic objectives and associated strategies and action plans based on fact-based analysis of the market environment. This includes supporting the strategic planning process and monitoring the competitive and technology landscape.
The successful candidate should be familiar and experienced with US Government acquisition as the position involves a wide variety of new initiatives related to our Department of Defense customer base:
Leads the development of market analysis and environmental trends within the global defense market. Develops and presents compelling market analysis for inclusion in decision point reviews and strategic plans Identifies and evaluates new strategic business opportunities and leads strategic projects as required Initiates strategies and leads incubation to build toward hand-off to business development and business unit leadership, including leading/supporting market research and business case development as required Supports analysis, evaluation, and initiation of new growth opportunities, strategic alliance partner engagement, initial market validation Takes a leadership role in supporting development of annual Strategic Business Plan for our Defense Portfolio/Business Units Supports cross-portfolio/business unit strategy development as required Prepares and presents company profiles on competitors, potential acquisition candidates, and partners including financial analyses. Supports acquisition, investment and partnership activities including development of strategic rationale and participates on due diligence teams.
MBA highly desirable
Experience / Qualifications:
United States Citizenship required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, market research, and/or strategy with increasing roles and responsibilities.
Minimum five years of experience in the Defense Industry.
Key skills include a strong business acumen, technical background and familiarity with technical product development.
Excellent verbal and written communication to support the completion of market research and strategy presentations and reports.
Candidate should have the ability to apply for and obtain a US Government DoD Security Clearance.
