Primary Responsibilities

  • Effective written, verbal and listening skills to facilitate representation/negotiation of HS configuration management policies in internal and external meetings, customer and industry audits (ISO, FAA ACSEP, QMI, DCMA) and training presentations at all levels of the organization.

  • Provide point of contact for DCMA, FAA and customers for all CM issues and policy interpretation.

  • Comparatively evaluate customer & regulatory requirements/ specifications and HS system capabilities to ensure compliance with all contractual elements for RFP’s, RFQ’s and current production programs.

  • Customizing systems and procedures as necessary to accommodate unique customer requirements.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of HS internal standard policies, engineering systems manual and aerospace drafting manual in addition to various industry CM standards.

  • Requires ability to evaluate customer CM plans and prepare accompanying HS CM plans in addition to approving or rejecting supplier CM plans

  • Establish standard policies and determine data integration needs based on the historical evolution of engineering processes and forward looking direction of the organization to support partnership relationships, merger/acquisition activities and HS’s system integration role

  • Review internal procedural ballots for compliance capabilities, process improvement opportunities and best practices

  • Requires thorough knowledge of government and industry Configuration Management Standards, MIL–STD–973, - 480, - 483. EIA649. ATA2000. ISO10007. FAR part 21

  • Ability to utilize, create and correlate data from various HS computer systems – EIS, Web EC, JDE, Teamcenter engineering, IHS, in addition to utilizing MS Office suite of products

  • Provide customized CM data extractions in support of business unit metrics and requests from the general engineering community

  • Recommend enhancements to these systems for usability, enhanced data interpretation, and assimilation of new data types

  • Readily adapt to changing policies, urgent production issues and unique program requirements while working within a team environment

  • Establish appropriate priorities to schedule the completion of jobs with the shared support of engineering, operations, records and drafting, ensuring production schedule commitments are met for multiple jobs inputs, programs and product areas

  • Simultaneously handling multiple programs, all CM personnel must possess the capability to sequence multiple engineering changes into iterative product structures to ensure proper production incorporation without hardware delays or causing shipping stoppages

  • Managers and associates must possess ability to evaluate unique situations, make discretionary decisions within appropriate constraints, provide innovative solutions and implement actions to closure


Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace Industry experience

  • EPEC Team Center PLM experience

  • MS Office Proficiency

  • Proven ability to work in a cross-function environment
