This position recommends Quality Compliance strategies to achieve medium to long-term organizational goals. A senior individual contributor or Quality Compliance leader with dotted line reports. Conducts extensive investigation and analysis for the resolution of complex problems and communicates with senior leadership on Quality Compliance strategy. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Interiors Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100 requirements.
Develop and recommends critical quality compliance operational plans to ensure achievement of medium to long-term goals for compliance with industry and regulatory standards
Responsible for providing quality leadership to all Interiors plant functions to drive continuous quality improvement in support of strategic objectives regarding customer satisfaction and overall business performance
Provides expertise in interpreting policies, government regulations and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standard
Leads the strategic planning and implementation of the Interiors QMS (including the Quality roadmap)
Performs substantial development of processes and plans for the implementation of minimum standards and the utilization of tools and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustained quality performance improvements
Manages the execution of the Interiors QMS GAP assessment in a timely manner
Work with sites to assist in quality compliance audit and audit resolution processes, developing corrective actions and process re-engineering solutions in response to results.
Promotes external best practice sharing to further improve quality assurance and compliance with recognized standards.
Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews
Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
Recommends corrective actions and process reengineering
Prepares and maintains Quality documentation (Manual, procedures, training program and any other documents pertaining to quality).
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
Possess a high degree of organization skills, time management, oral and written communication and report or business correspondence skill and attention to detail
Thoroughly familiar with applicable regulations and quality standards, AS9100 (Series) Aerospace Auditor certification or evidence of completion of a formal quality auditor or lead quality auditor training course
A minimum of 5 years in a Quality Assurance Management position. Candidates with QA Management experience and significant management experience are highly preferred.
Exhibit considerable knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
Possesses a demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
