Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive organizational results in the production of quality products in a precision manufacturing operation, while supporting a 24-hour a day operation.

  • Lead the manufacturing departments to meet department goals in EH&S, Quality, Cost, Inventory Control and On-time Delivery. Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and participate on EH&S committees to improve the facility as required

  • Lead strategy for production planning, allocation of resources, materials and scheduling of equipment for maximum utilization of production facilities and people

  • Talent development of operations team including leadership team development

  • Execute an operational strategy to ensure progress through the local operating system process

  • Actively lead the visual transformation of shop to meet the UTAS Vision.

Qualification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years managerial experience, preferably in technical manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Ability to develop talent into leadership roles.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability of building relationships with multiple levels across the organization.

  • 5+ years operation's experience required with a demonstrated ability to achieve results.

  • Knowledge of skilled manufacturing operations such as precision machining, production, plating, heat treat or assembly.

  • Strong planning and organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a capital acquisition process

  • Demonstrated competence of Lean manufacturing, SPC, DMAIC, or Six Sigma.

  • Experience using SAP/ERP system

  • Proficient computer skills – Digital Factory 4.0

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or technical related degree
